Sunday Prayer | Putting on the Full Armor of God

Father God, as we go out and face the day, help us remain steadfast, O Lord. Help us put on the full armor of God. Give us Your supernatural strength to stand, girding ourselves with the belt of truth and the armor of righteousness. Let us be ready for the gospel of peace and in every situation remind us to take the shield of faith so that we will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the enemy. Help us put on the helmet of salvation and carry the sword of the Spirit, Your Word, O God. And let us forever and ever pray in the Spirit, staying alert, persevering, and interceding on behalf of all the saints.

Ephesians 6:14-18 (HCSB)

14 Stand, therefore, with truth like a belt around your waist,
righteousness like armor on your chest,
15 and your feet sandaled with readiness
for the gospel of peace.
16 In every situation take the shield of faith,
and with it you will be able to extinguish
all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
17 Take the helmet of salvation,
and the sword of the Spirit,
which is God’s word.

18 Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request, and stay alert in this with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints.
