I’ve had quite the October this far. I shared about getting the opportunity to share God’s Word and provide insight into the epidemic of homelessness this past Sunday.
And then, I mentioned learning I’d won an award at the 58th RCAS Members Show.
The thing with art is that it’s personal to you, it’s self-expression.

I’m happy to share that one of my entries, a photograph, received “Honorable Mention” in the category of ‘Collage and Mixed Media’.

The show, held at the Charles W. Eisemann Center in Richardson, featured a ton of great creative works by numerous artists, including three entries by yours-truly.
The awards ceremony took place Tuesday night at the Tower 2600 building where the RCAS conducts its monthly meetings.
I’m new to this, in many ways. In a few I’m not. Thanks to my mom, who herself is an artist, I grew up around creative people. And in His generosity, God has brought and kept creative people in my life.
Now that I’ve had a successful career in a couple of different industries, I find myself becoming more introspective while simultaneously peering outward and contemplating what legacy I want to leave behind. While I’m not planning on going anywhere soon, I’m looking ahead to see what the final movements of my life’s symphony might be.
What about you? Are you thinking about what your legacy might be as you get set to round the bases?
Abundant blessings, love, and peace,
The Devotional Guy™

The older I get, the more I think about it.

Congratulations Rainer on your lovely photograph being recognised for an honourable mention!😊
I have often thought of my legacy; preferably one that shares the Good News. I had a time when diagnosed with my first brain tumour that I thought of nothing else other than what my life’s legacy would be. But praise God I am not facing an immediate threat as I did then, but I still keep focussed on using my time well.
