She’s My Favorite Human

This week, people all over everywhere celebrated love in honor of Valentine’s Day. In today’s post, I am celebrating my favorite human—my wife Terri.

Terri and I first met —online of all places—around this time in 2000–also known as the turn of the century. Fast forward nearly a quarter of a century later and we are often blown away by how quickly the years have rolled by.

When Terri and I met I was working as the kitchen manager of the original Babe’s Chicken Dinner House in Roanoke. Terri was working as an accountant for Dr. Weaver, a local physician with multiple business interests. Both of these jobs are now ancient history and we have long since churned through a number of other roles.

Terri has always been hardworking and dedicated to performing her work with exceptional excellence.

Terri also has a big heart for animals and would rescue every homeless animal if she could. We have a cat menagerie at home to prove it. All our pets throughout our years together have been rescues.

I am simply fortunate to have her in my life. We’ve had lots of fun together as well as experiencing our share of heartache.

Our love, by God’s grace, persevered.

”Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.“

1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭7‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Tell somebody about Jesus today!

Blessings,
