It’s hard to believe, but today is the first day of March! Time has already ticked through the first two months of 2024.
What does it look like to be steadfast in observing without passing judgement?
What does it look like to be steadfast in demonstrating empathy, compassion, understanding, and mutual respect?
Isaiah 26:3 beautifully captures the concept of cultivating a steadfast mind.
You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.
Isaiah 26:3 (NIV)

What is a steadfast mind?
In the Bible, a steadfast mind is often portrayed as one that is firmly fixed, unwavering, and resolute in its trust in the Lord.
A steadfast mind is characterized by its commitment to God, its reliance on His promises, and its grounding in faith, despite the changing circumstances or challenges that may arise. It is a mind that finds its anchor in the Lord, demonstrating a trust that does not waver in the face of trials.
Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.”
Matthew 22:37 (NLT)
This concept also reflects a deeper spiritual principle found throughout the Scriptures: the call to love the Lord with all one’s heart, soul, and mind (Matthew 22:37). A steadfast mind is not just about intellectual assent. It is also deeply intertwined with our wholehearted devotion and love for God.
To cultivate a steadfast mind, we must immerse ourselves in the Word of God, engage in prayer, and rely on the Holy Spirit’s guidance, allowing our thoughts and attitudes to be transformed by divine wisdom and truth.
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!
Psalm 107:1 (ESV)
I pray that the steadfast love of the Lord fuels your day and that you are compelled to give God praise!
Tell somebody about Jesus today!
Blessings,

I concur, Bridget—intentionality matters. We do get easily distracted. Our minds and hearts wander. Thank you for taking time to read my blog and for your willingness to share both your thoughts and encouraging words. Gratefully 🙏

Thank you for this encouraging post. I like what you said about our minds being anchored in the Lord. In my own experience, I believe it’s important to be intentional in our walk. Otherwise our we might be distracted by other things. So I also like your points about reading the Bible, staying in prayer, and leaning on the Holy Spirit. Thank you, Rainer. Excellent post! Have a blessed day 🤗
