What Makes Your Blog Unique?

Every once in awhile, I tinker with the idea of launching another blog about something completely different, but something I enjoy talking about as much as I love sharing about my life with Jesus.

It’s in that moment that I quickly discover that someone is already writing about music they grew up listening to or the favorite shows someone is binging on over the weekend. So, I decide not to add more food to the fodder, even though my perspective on these topics might be different. After all, there are over 600 MILLION blogs floating around the internet according to Luisa Zhou. With all that content, I think you want your blog to standout by offering a different flavor to the blogosphere.

What makes your blog unique?

After giving this question some thought, I cultivated a list describing what I think makes my blog unique.

1. Spiritual Perspective: My blog focuses on providing a spiritual perspective on life, faith, and personal growth, which sets it apart from blogs that may cover similar topics from a secular viewpoint.
2. Personal Narratives: I try to incorporate personal narratives and experiences into my writing, allowing readers to connect with my content on a deeper level and while providing a unique insight into my journey of faith and personal growth.
3. Diverse Content: My blog covers a diverse range of topics, including faith, mental health, addiction recovery, and cultural observations, offering a multifaceted approach to spirituality and personal growth.
4. Community Engagement: I try very hard to actively engage with my audience through comments and discussions, hopefully fostering a sense of community and connection among my readers and followers.
5. Resource Recommendations: As an added benefit to those reading my blog on the regular, I try to provide helpful recommendations for books, podcasts, and other resources related to spirituality and personal development.

We do different kinds of work. But it is the same God who helps us all to work in different ways.

My prayer is that the combination of spiritual perspective, personal narratives, diverse content, community engagement, and resource recommendations help make “The Devotional Guy™” a unique offering among blogs in a similar niche.
