Do you remember when you first came to Christ how enamored and in love you were with the God of the universe? You spent hours in prayer and devoted time reading His word voraciously. You were a student—a pupil sitting at God’s feet eager to learn.
How about today? Is that still true for you? Are you a student of God’s Word or simply a tourist passing through?
New in the faith, we are hungry for Truth and fearful of falsehoods.
For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
Hebrews 4:12 NLT
As Believers, we proclaim that God’s Word serves as the ultimate authority over our lives. We humbly submit our will to His. We’re working His plan rather than spending precious energy on fulfilling ours. God comes first.
In order for us to live out our Christian faith, we must devote time to meditating on God’s Word. Reading and studying our Bibles is not only a worthy investment but a necessary one.
We don’t want to make God’s Word an idol—so I’ve heard—because we don’t want to worship it more than we do Him. Honestly, I don’t think that in our present age that there is great danger of that happening. We scarcely spend time with the Word let alone the author of it.

A few minutes here. A few minutes there. Like spiritual tourists.
What say you?
Are you speed dating Scripture or are you taking time to truly get to know God through His Word?
Know you are loved.

I admit there was a time as a young believer that I was only a tourist, but in these later years I have been realising how short time is before our Lord Jesus returns. In my past novels occupied my days, now I spend time in His Word and seeking Him. This is necessary preparation to share Good News with others, and to be ready for Eternity.
God bless you today brother 🙏
