Sunday Night Prayer

As I shared in my previous post, I’ve spent time meditating on the words of Paul in Romans 8:26-27.

At a time we need it most, I’m trying to identify much needed new food sources because our regular resources are dwindling and less reliable. The slumping economy has increased the number of families relying on food pantries to feed their children which has shifted the food donation paradigm and in-kind resource availability for larger scale meal providers like us who serve 3-4,000 meals each week. Through this process, I’ve witnessed God at work first hand through answered prayer as new donors have “popped up” —not due to any of my efforts—because truthfully all I’ve been able to do is lean on the Lord while not knowing exactly what to pray for in the midst of this moment.

Sunday Prayer

Lord, in moments of uncertainty, when my words fail me and my needs seem too complex to voice out loud, I take comfort in knowing that Your Spirit is interceding for me.

God, You understand my groans, my silent cries, and the desires of my heart even before I articulate them. In my weakness, Your strength is made perfect. Grant me the faith to trust in Your intercession, believing that You are at work in my life for my good and Your glory.

In the precious and strong name of Jesus, I pray.

Amen.

When I didn’t know what to pray, the Holy Spirit did and God provided faithfully as God always does.

Be encouraged. Continue forward.

No mater what.

  1. May God continue to bless you as you serve “the least of these.”
