Jesus, our Kindness

Jesus is our Kindness extended to us by God, the Father, Creator of all.

I’m blessed that my wife, Terri, is a kind human being. Her kindness often overwhelms me, much like considering God’s kindness does.

‬‬But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Titus‬ ‭3‬:‭4‬-‭7‬ ‭ESV‬‬

It’s truly wonderful to witness the kindness of Jesus reflected in the people we cherish, like my wife Terri.

In his letter to Titus, Paul reminds us that God’s kindness is a gift extended to us through Jesus. Kindness is a Fruit of the Spirit. Seeing it in others, brings us closer to the divine character of Jesus.

It is a blessing to experience such a profound reflection of God’s love in through those we love because it inspires us to live more Christ-like lives.

My Prayer

Father, We come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for Your infinite kindness and love. We do acknowledge how Your compassion and mercy renew our spirits each day, and we seek to emulate Your ways in our own lives. Help us show kindness in our thoughts, words, and actions, to all whom we meet. May our kindness reflect Your grace, serving as a light in the world and drawing others closer to You. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

May reflecting on kindness draw you deeper into gratitude for the incredible gift of Jesus. These daily encounters and interactions show us the evidence of God’s presence working through the people around us. We must continue cherishing and celebrating those moments, as they are a testament of the transformative power of kindness in action.
