During my recent participation in a monthly semi-silent retreat hosted by Soul Care, we spent time meditating on Ezekiel 47.
Ezekiel 47 presents a powerful and captivating vision—one of life, restoration, and divine abundance. The prophet is brought back to the entrance of the temple, where he sees water trickling out from beneath the threshold, flowing eastward. What begins as a small stream gradually becomes a river so deep it cannot be crossed.
This imagery speaks beautifully to the overflowing provision and life that come from God. As the river flows outward, it reaches the Dead Sea—a place known for its lifelessness—and miraculously transforms it into a body of water brimming with life.
What was once dead now teems with vitality, simply because God’s living water reached it.

But it doesn’t end there…
The vision goes further: trees line the banks of this river, bearing fresh fruit each month, and their leaves bring healing. This is not just a picture of restoration, but of continual provision, of constant renewal, of healing that never runs dry.
As I’ve walked through my healing journey, I am comforted knowing that God is there by my side.
Ezekiel 47 reminds us that God is not stagnant—the Lord moves, flows, and wherever He touches, He brings life. No matter how barren or broken a place—or a heart—may seem, the living waters of God bring healing, renewal, and abundance. This was true then and it remains true today. It was true for them, it’s true for you and me.
May we stay close to the Ultimate Source —our Lord and God—and allow His presence to flow through us, shining hope and life to the world around us.
Remember, whatever trial you may be going through, God is with you in the storm. He is the giver of life who makes all things new.

I wasn’t familiar with this vision God showed Ezekiel. What a comforting thought—God’s mighty river of Living Water keeps rolling along!
The world can be a daunting place, but Jesus reminds us that He has overcome the world.
Great post, brother!
