Today is the day! The dual exhibition my Mom and I are unveiling launches today at 11 a.m.
Honestly, opening the door to this exhibition feels a bit like opening a vein. Vulnerable. Exposed.
The room will be filled with my work. Paintings, photographs, words, and stories that once lived quietly in my home studio and are now stepping into the light.
My work is a reflection of humans being. The stories are personal to me. The canvases show pain, perseverance, dignity, and divine image.
It’s not a comfortable collection of art. It was never meant to be comfortable. Rather, it’s an invitation to ask hard questions and a challenge to see those who the world so often overlooks.
Art isn’t really about seeking applause. It’s about finding connection. I don’t need everyone to understand. I only need someone to see.

I am not on display but my heart is there for all to see.
I don’t need to perform.
I just need to be present.
What matters most is not if people praise the art,
but if folks pause long enough to see the people in it.
I am a vessel. My job is simply to show up and that is enough.

Today, I don’t need to be impressive. I only need to be present.
Please pray for me, my Mom, and all those that will interact with our art—not just today—but throughout the duration of the show (June 9-July 18, 2025).
At the end of the day, if God is glorified then that is all that matters.
Know you are loved.
Until my next post…
Be salty, stay lit.
