My Monday Cup | To the Corners Yet Unread

At the beginning of 2025, I couldn’t imagine how far my words might travel.

Yet here we are, a little more than halfway through the year, and The Devotional Guy™ blog has found its way into homes, hearts, and hands in countries I’ve never stepped foot in. From bustling cities in India to quiet villages in Scandinavia, from tropical coastlines in South America to the desert landscapes of the Middle East, a myriad of eyes have met my words. People’s hearts all around the globe have pondered what I’ve written. For that, I’m deeply grateful and utterly humbled.

As I looked at a map of the world this weekend, tracking where readers have visited from, I noticed there are still a handful of countries (shaded in gray) where no one has read a single blogpost yet.

The World July 2025

A twinge of discouragement hit me, but it was quickly overtaken by a wave of anticipation.

To Those Yet to Find My Words

Maybe you’re in a place where internet is hard to come by, or your country filters certain sites. Maybe you’re struggling just to make it through the day. Maybe you’re not sure if faith or hope still matter. If, by grace or chance, these words someday find their way to you, I want you to know this:

You are not forgotten.
Isaiah 49:16 says, “See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.”

This blog is about more than faith, art, or insight. It’s about being human. It’s about walking with the Divine in the everyday. It’s about truly seeing each other with grace. As a friend of my likes to say, “You never know the baggage someone may be carrying today. So be kind.

Regions Not Reached Yet (in gray):
  • Africa: Many central countries like Chad, Niger, and the DRC
  • Middle East: Syria, Yemen, and Iran
  • Central Asia: Turkmenistan, Tajikistan
  • Parts of Southeast Asia: North Korea, Papua New Guinea
  • Europe: Kosovo
  • Caribbean and Central America: A few nations like Haiti and possibly some island states
  • Greenland: low population and limited access?

To the Nations Who Have Read

THANK YOU.

Every view, every share, every quiet moment you’ve spent reading one of these posts matters. You’ve reminded me that words still carry light. And you’ve helped build a bridge between strangers across oceans, borders, and beliefs. That’s pretty cool.

What Comes Next?

I’d love to see these words reach every country, not out of vanity, but because I believe every soul deserves encouragement, truth, and hope.

So if you know someone in one of those “unread” nations, please share a post. If you’re a traveler or missionary, pass it along. And if you’re reading this from a place where no one else has yet, then please say hello.

Just maybe we can light up those gray spaces, one heart at a time.

Until my next post…

Be salty, stay lit.
