Saturday in the Word | Discerning God’s Will

Discerning God’s will is something that many of us seek to understand during our walk of faith. Thankfully, the Bible offers us guidance on how to align our lives with God’s purposes.

Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭2‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Transforming our mind through prayer, study of the Word, and seeking the Holy Spirit can help reveal God’s will to us.

Additionally, James, the brother of Jesus encourages us to seek wisdom, indicating that God desires to help us understand His will, and we can come to Him in prayer asking for clarity and guidance.

James 1:5 ESV

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

Trusting in God and recognizing His sovereignty are key components in discerning His direction in our life.

By engaging earnestly in prayer, Bible study, and with other believers, we can enrich our own understanding and grow in our relationship with God, helping us gain a clearer discernment of His will for our lives. .

Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Friend, are you struggling to discern God’s will for your life? Know you are not alone. Also, know that you can be confident that God is ready to show you if you’re willing to ask Him. I pray that this post will encourage you.

Until my next post…

Be salty, stay lit.
