My Mom is having a surgical procedure performed this morning to remove a cancerous growth on her nose. If you’ve followed my blog for any length of time then the fact that this week is also the one year anniversary of Terri’s sister’s death doesn’t escape you .
I’m inviting you to pray for my Mom’s full and speedy recovery. The surgery itself seems fairly straightforward. But, you never know.

I’ve taken the liberty of crafting some prayers. Feel free to use them or pray them in your own way. Whatever you do, I appreciate your prayers.
Prayer for Healing
“Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You with a heavy heart, asking for Your healing touch on my mother. Your Word says in James 5:15, ‘And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up.’ I have faith in Your goodness and pray that You restore her health, comfort her spirit, and give her peace during this time. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Prayer for Strength
“Lord, in this time of uncertainty, I ask for Your strength to surround my mother. As Isaiah 41:10 reminds us, ‘So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.’ May my Mom feel Your presence and find courage in You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”
Prayer for Peace
“Gracious God, I pray for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to fill my mother’s heart and mind. Philippians 4:7 tells us, ‘And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.’ May my Mom find comfort in Your love and assurance during her recovery. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”
Prayer for Care and Guidance
“Lord, I ask for Your wisdom and guidance for the medical team caring for my mom. As Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches, ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.’ May they be instruments of Your healing and care. In the Name of Jesus. Amen.”
Prayer for Gratitude
“Father, I thank You for the gift of my mother and the love we share. I am grateful for Your presence in our lives. As we go through this trial, may we lean on Your understanding and find joy in even the smallest moments. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.”
The essence of prayer is bringing our heart before God, trusting Him with healing our loved ones and looking out for our well-being.
Thank you in advance for your prayers.

Until my next post…
Be salty, stay lit.
