Wednesday Wisdom | Blogging for God’s Glory

If you’ve been at this awhile like I have, you know that blogging isn’t just about algorithms, analytics, or audience growth. At its heart, it’s about purpose.

As Christian bloggers, we’re not merely creating content. We are cultivating connection. Every post, paragraph, and phrase can point someone to the Cross and the saving work Jesus did there. It also helps us examine ourselves and remind us of what walking the walk looks like when it’s lived out. As digital evangelists, our job is to point people to God.

When we blog for God’s glory, our focus naturally shifts:

  • From self-promotion to serving others.
  • From metrics to ministry.
  • From perfection to presence — being faithful in the space God has given us.

1 Corinthians 10:31 NIV

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

Doing things for God’s glory includes writing words, sharing stories, and curating content. Even the quiet act of editing a sentence or choosing an image can be an act of worship when done with a heart surrendered to Him.

Writing as Worship

When you write with a Kingdom mindset, your blog becomes more than a platform — it becomes a pulpit. You share the gospel not just in sermons or devotionals but in the way you encourage, comfort, and remind others of God’s goodness in everyday life.

So today’s Wednesday Wisdom is simple:

Let your words reflect His light.
Blog not for applause, but for impact.
Not for visibility, but for His glory.

Because when you write for God, even the smallest post can echo in eternity.

Until my next post…

Be salty, stay lit.

  1. Thank you for stopping by my blog and for taking time to share your thoughts. Isn’t it wonderful that Jesus didn’t call the fancy and fantastic when He chose His first twelve disciples? We can each do a little bit to shine the light of His goodness and share what Jesus taught us in the darkness. Simple things make a big difference. Thanks again for reading my post and dropping a comment. Blessings.

I LOVE this reminder – even though I’m not fancy or fantastic, I can still share the gospel! I don’t come in contact with many people. I don’t write well. BUT I do what I can to encourage those around me.

  3. Thank you, Dana. We don’t know how what we write today will impact someone reading it in the future. The Holy Spirit does what the Spirit does. Blessings. 🙏

  6. Rainer, your encouraging reflections are spot. When one’s writing is filled with humbleness, all glory is given to God. It’s joy to simply embrace every moment serving as a source of Christ’s light. God’s peace be with you.

A good post Rainer, thank you 😊 I like the confirmation of a blog by something that God is doing/saying in a reader’s life. It never fails to amaze me how His Spirit works across thousands of miles between His Word and those who read it. God bless you today brother 🙏
