Spiritual warfare is a profound and significant theme throughout the Bible. Spiritual warfare refers to the conflict between believers, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and the forces of Evil. In Ephesians 6:10-12, the Apostle Paul provides his insight on this matter:
Ephesians 6:10-12 ESV
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Paul invites believers to rely on God’s strength and to put on the spiritual armor He provides. This armor includes truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, the Word of God, and prayer. Each element is crucial in defending against spiritual attacks and standing firm in faith.
Ephesians 6:13-17 ESV
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God…
The Bible assures us of our victory through Jesus Christ, encouraging us with Romans 8:37: “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”
In the midst of spiritual warfare, take comfort in knowing that God’s love and power equip you to withstand all challenges. Remain steadfast, pray continually, and trust in His might to overcome.

Yes, it’s definitely real. I’ve found that we walk a fine line between nothing being spiritual warfare and everything being spiritual warfare. But in the Gospels we see the evidence of spiritual warfare and opposing forces existing in the spiritual and physical realm. Thanks for reading and commenting, Barb.
