Friend, God is on the move and my spirit can hardly contain it. People’s souls are stirring. Revival is in the air. Truthfully, I’ve been overwhelmed by seeing the Lord at work all around me.
I was blessed by the words of fellow blogger Ana T, who blogs over at Zebras and Magpies, after she reached out to me through a comment she left on one of my posts from earlier this year, encouraging Christian bloggers to keep up the good fight.
In her comment, Ana shared how she had been struggling and filled with the Holy Spirit, believed she could be doing more for the Lord through her life and her writing ministry. A WordPress search of the word “Christian” led her to my blog. How awesome is that!?! Praise God!!!
After Monday night’s drawing class, God brought Christian artist and worship leader Brandon Lake to mind. I’d been listening to his music earlier in the day and even watched him lead worship at the recent memorial for Christian evangelist and apologist, Charlie Kirk.
In her comment, Ana shared she’d been listening to Brandon Lake’s music that same day. She also shared she was finishing up the Gospel of Luke and felt led to make God’s Word a greater priority in her daily life. I’ve spent the past several days contemplating on how to invite people to prioritize spending time in God’s Word in 2026, because I sense that the Lord is moving among us through revival amid a spiritual stirring.

What is an Apologist and an Evangelist?
An apologist defends the Christian faith through reasoning, while an evangelist shares the Gospel, the good news regarding Jesus Christ, and encourages repentance for the sake of transformation.

In recent months, my blog has grown exponentially and inexplicably apart from recognizing the Holy Spirit’s anointing of my word offering. As a result, my heart has been stirred to focus on the upcoming Advent season as a way of heralding God’s kingdom and calling people to repentance.
Fellow Christian Blogger, Barbara H., who blogs at My Father’s World, shared about this upcoming ADVENT 2025 series on her blog earlier this week.

If you’ve been paying attention lately, you might sense God is on the move, too. You may feel it in all of the conversations happening around us, in the curious questions people are asking, and even in the way completely unexpected voices in the public square are pointing toward truth, conviction, and the need for something deeper than what this world offers us.
I’ve noticed it in my own circles, and I’ve heard others talk about it, including people like the late Charlie Kirk and others who are openly acknowledging a spiritual stirring happening across our nation, and perhaps around the globe. Something is waking up. Hearts are softening. People are searching again.
But here’s the beautiful truth:
God has always been moving.
We’re just becoming more aware of it.

God Moves in Unlikely Places
Throughout Scripture, we witness God working through unexpected people and unlikely situations. Moses didn’t go out looking for a burning bush. David wasn’t seeking the throne when God called him from the field. The prophets of old often found themselves speaking into moments when the culture had lost its way.
God still moves like that today; quietly, boldly, surprisingly.
John 3:8 ESV
The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.
The movement of God rarely fits into our neatly prepared categories or our comfort zones. The Lord doesn’t wait for perfect conditions or perfect people.
A Hunger Is Rising
What we’re seeing online, in homes, in churches, and in conversations on street corners, looks like hunger:
- Hunger for purpose
- Hunger for truth
- Hunger for belonging
- Hunger for God Himself
And hunger is a sign of life.
When people begin to realize this world can’t satisfy them, God steps in and does what only He can do. He awakens hearts.
Our Role in the Movement
When God is moving, the right question isn’t “Is He active?” but rather,
“Am I paying attention and am I willing to join Him?”
We don’t have to shout the loudest or draw the biggest crowd. We simply have to be faithful. We should seek to be:
- faithful in prayer,
- faithful in love,
- faithful in truth,
- faithful in how we live.
God moves through ordinary obedience. He moves through compassion. He moves through people who quietly but boldly shine the light of Christ in dark places. Is that you?
If so, I encourage you to consider joining us in our conversation about Advent. Participation is simple. Starting Sunday, November 30, write a post—or two, or three, or four, etc…—about Advent. It can be a devotional, a memory, a story, or your experience with Advent. The purpose and intent is to glorify God and draw people nearer to Him, as well as calling people to repentance. We simply seek to magnify His name.
If you decide to join us on what promises to be a beautiful collaborative journey, please be sure to add ADVENT2025 as one of your tags.
I pray that you’ll consider helping us spread the flame of the spiritual fire burning in our midst.

Our Prayer
Gracious Lord, open our eyes to see where You are already at work. Give us hearts that respond with humility, courage, and faith. Let Your Spirit stir us!Renew us, sweet Lord and align us with Your purposes in this critical moment. Use us as vessels of hope, truth, and grace. In the mighty name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
A Reflection Question
Where do you sense God moving in your life or in the world around you and what is the Lord inviting you to do in response?

Until my next post…
Be salty, stay lit.

That is fitting, Jodi. We need to know we’re not flying solo in this blogosphere. I am glad that facilitating connections and conversations is helpful to you and other travelers.

You stated “The movement of God rarely fits into our neatly prepared categories or our comfort zones. The Lord doesn’t wait for perfect conditions or perfect people.”
🫰 🫰 🫰 truer words can’t possibly be said!
A song 🎶 comes to mind – as usual … 😝
“Gods not Dead … HE IS SURELY ALIVE. He’s living on the inside … ROARING LIKE A LION!!!”

Sunday, November 30 is my 54th solar return … it’s also the same age my mom was when she made her final “decision” in this realm. Seems extremely fitting that I choose to live – out loud – at the same age? Yeah?
I’m ALL IN! Let’s do this!
