At some point, every writer pauses long enough to ask the simple but revealing question: What motivates me to blog?
For some of us, it’s creativity. For others among us, it’s community. For many, it’s a desire to make sense of our world one paragraph at a time.
For me, blogging is a mix of calling, craft, and connection.
- Calling, because I’ve found God often uses ordinary words to spark extraordinary hope.
- Craft, because writing shapes me through refining my thoughts, sharpening my voice, and deepening my faith.
- Connection, because a blog isn’t a monologue; it’s a gathering place. My blog (and yours) serves as a digital table where stories meet, hearts open, and truth finds a home. It’s where friends gather.
Blogging reminds us that our words matter. They can encourage, challenge, comfort, and point toward Christ in ways we may never fully see this side of heaven.
So what motivates you to blog?
The desire to serve others? To create? To testify? To process your own journey?
Whatever it is, keep writing. And yes, you ARE a writer. Someone out there needs the words God placed on your heart today. So write them…

Until my next post…
Be salty, stay lit.

I have to agree with (The Calling)…My writing comes from listening to God. I pray, sit with Him, and bring my questions. When He speaks, I write it down.I hope the words bring hope to someone who needs it.
