A Word of Encouragement for Those Who Are Working Hard This Time of Year

For many of you, this is the busiest season of the year.

End-of-year deadlines are approaching.
Projects must be finished.
Loose ends tied.
Expectations met.

The demands on your time are high, and the pressure feels constant—sometimes even crushing.

I see it close to home. My wife, Terri, is living in this season right now. Long days. Full calendars. Mental weight that doesn’t clock out when the workday ends. Many of you are carrying the same load.

And I want you to hear this clearly:
Your effort is seen even when it feels unnoticed.

Working hard doesn’t always come with applause. Often it comes with fatigue. With late nights and early mornings. With the quiet faithfulness of showing up again when you’d rather rest.

Scripture reminds us:

Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Galatians 6:9 ESV

Weariness is not failure.
Pressure is not proof that you’re doing something wrong.
Exhaustion is not a lack of faith.

It is often the cost of responsibility, care, and commitment.

If you’re in a season where the pace is relentless, remember this: God is not only concerned with what you produce. He is deeply concerned with how you’re loved.

You are allowed to pause.
You are allowed to breathe.
You are allowed to ask for help.

Even Jesus withdrew to quiet places when the demands grew heavy.

So keep going; but not alone.
Work diligently; but not at the expense of your soul.
Give your best; but entrust the outcome to God.

For those carrying heavy workloads right now—may the Lord, our God, grant you strength for today, clarity for what truly matters, and rest for your spirit even before the work is finished.

This too shall pass.
Your faithfulness remains.

Grace and peace to you as you press on.

Until my next post…[This is my 1700th post btw!]
