I recently read an article by Isabella Chase about people who say goodbye to their pets when they leave their house. Being a cat parent myself, the title caught my eye.
There are many ways to move through the world. Some people move fast, strategically, and loudly, leaving evidence everywhere they’ve been. Others move more quietly, focusing on the ground they’re standing on in the moment versus concerning themselves with the distance they cover. For some people, it’s all about performance. For a few, it’s about presence.
Recently, when I was visiting my mom, she mentioned she was in a season in which she didn’t want to hurry or be so busy that she rushed through the day without really living it. Presence means more to her now than it once did.
Take your time. Don’t hurry.
How do you move through the world?

Until my next post…
Be salty, stay lit.
