An Encouragement to Pray

I’ve heard it said that prayer lays the foundation for God to do great things through us. Prayer certainly served as a key element of Jesus’ life and we see prayer being part of people’s lifestyle throughout the Bible.

Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.

Colossians 4:2 NLT

During this #Lent26 season, practice prayer not only as a way to speak with God, but to listen to Him, also.

Prayer is a two-way conversation.

I have been driven many times upon my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had nowhere else to go. My own wisdom and that of all about me seemed insufficient for that day.

Adore God for who He is. He is holy. Admit your shortcomings. Ask for forgiveness. Express gratitude. Thankfulness is a spiritual weapon. Pray for others. Pray for wisdom,strength, and guidance. Do it throughout your day. Pray for people in the moment. Not later, but then and there.
