A #Lent26 Reflection
Lent
isn’t just about what we give up.
It’s about
what we’re making room for.
Less noise.
less constant input,
less inner commentary,
less need to fill the silence.
Less reaching
for approval,
for distraction,
for something to dull the ache.
Less reflex
toward a quick defense
or an instant reply.
No automatic yes.
When something leaves,
we sense the space it occupied.
Space offers an invitation.
Hunger becomes prayer.
Silence becomes shelter.
Absence becomes awareness.
Lent is not subtraction; it’s clearing.
Sometimes,
what moves in
when we make room
is Presence itself.

Rayla, I see a link to your blogpost in the comment you left, however there isn’t an actual link in your post pinging back to my blog.
This is what I see in the comments.
Hope that helps.

Thank you, Rayla! 🙏 I appreciate your kind thoughts. I’ve not received any notification of a link back to my blog today, so I’m not sure what’s up with that. But, yes, you’re certainly welcome to do that anytime. Blessings.

This is so very meaningful in a time of so little room for God.
I love how you make the Season a series to Reflect on Christ with.
Have linked my Post, unsure if it is too ‘_0ther worldly’ ….
though its the world we live in – fleeting. Let me know if I’m doing this alright.
Warm wishes always.
