Have you ever noticed how quickly we complicate things that were meant to be simple? Especially, when it comes to God.
We add unnecessary layers, false conditions, and untrue expectations.
We turn something teeming with life into something dull and ambiguous.
The word gospel just means “good news.”
It’s not good news about us finally getting it right. It’s about Jesus stepping in on our behalf when we fall short.
He lived the life we couldn’t sustain and died the death we couldn’t outrun.
And then, supernaturally, He rose again.
There’s a part of me that still wants to earn it. You know: clean myself up first.
Be more consistent. Feel more worthy.
But the gospel disrupts that thinking. It disrupts everything.
It’s not about what I bring to the table. It’s about what’s Jesus brought and gave.
Sometimes, grace can feel too simple.
Undeserved.
That’s what makes it good. We couldn’t earn it. We don’t deserve it. But God gives it to us anyway.
Grace isn’t about a system or a list.
It’s about a person.
A person named Jesus.
Grace means that we are more loved than we know and more forgiven than we would ever dare to believe.

Be salty, stay lit.
