And in other news…

As many of you who have followed my blog know, I started creating art as a means of therapy in 2022. I’ve really fallen in love with expressing myself through the visual work I create.

I create art that speaks to me and, I hope, will speak to others. My work carries a social conscience and forges meaningful connections. There is a lot of emotion tied into my art especially as someone who has served the local homeless community and as someone learning to live life with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

On to the news…

Last week, I learned that my portrait Star Man would be featured as part of the Richardson Civic Art Society’s 60th Anniversary Regional Show at the prestigious Charles W. Eisemann Center.

I also received notification from The People’s Artist competition committee that I would be taking part in the 2026 The People’s Artist Contest. The first round of voting begins Monday, May 4th! (I believe your first vote is FREE) Any donations made will go to support the work of The Art of Elysium, an artist organization built on the idea that through service, art becomes a catalyst for social change. They pair volunteer artists with fragile communities.

Voting begins May 4th!

I would GREATLY APPRECIATE YOUR VOTE!!!

Be salty, stay lit.
