There are things I understand and there are things I don’t.
The Trinity often sits in that second space. No matter how much I study it, the Trinity remains a mystery to me that I do not fully comprehend.
Father.
Son.
Holy Spirit.
Not three gods.
Not one God shifting forms.
But three in one.
I’ve heard endless explanations. Some I found helpful. Some were not.
At some point, they all fall short. Incomplete. Just like us…
And that’s okay.
If God were fully explainable, fully containable He wouldn’t be God.
What I see when I observe the Trinity is relationship.
The Father sending the Son.
The Son obeying the Father.
The Spirit present and active.
Not separated. Connected. ONE.
I believe the relationship between the Trinity reveals something to us, too.
We were made to be in relationship with God and with one other.
The Trinity is not some puzzle I try to solve. I just let it remind me that God is bigger than my understanding and yet, somehow near.

Until next time…
Be salty, stay lit.
