When Faith Feels Like Waiting

I don’t know about you, but I’m not good at waiting. But, by God’s grace, I’m learning.

I think waiting is one of the hardest parts of faith. In our instant society, we want answers right away. We want direction immediately. We want God to move right now.

But God often does the deepest work in us through seasons of waiting.

We have to shift our mindset. Waiting is not wasted time.

It’s in the waiting that God shapes us. He teaches us patience. He strengthens our trust. Waiting reveals who we really depend on.

  • Abraham waited for a promise.
  • Joseph waited for freedom.
  • Israel waited for deliverance.
  • The disciples waited for the Holy Spirit.

God is working even when nothing seems to be happening.

Isaiah reminds us:

Those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength.

Isaiah 40:31 ESV

So my friend, remember this: while a waiting season may not always feel productive, it is often where the Lord does some of His deepest work.

Until my next post…

Be salty, stay lit.
