Start Where You Are

Sometimes we spend so much time wondering where God is taking us that we forget to pay attention to where He has us. It’s easy to do.

Paul wrote:

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men

Colossians 3:23 ESV

Not someday or when everything makes sense. Not when we finally get the perfect opportunity.

Today. Right where you are.

The task in front of you may not feel particularly spiritual. It may involve emails, meetings, spreadsheets, traffic, paperwork or even people who have never heard of the Gospel.

But God is still there.

Our calling isn’t always about doing something extraordinary. Sometimes it’s simply being faithful with what’s in front of us.

So today, I’m going to try to remember:

I don’t have to know what’s next to be faithful with what’s now.

What has God put in front of you today?

Do that.

And do it for Him with all your might.

Until my next post…

Be salty, stay lit.

Very wise words Rainer. It reminds me of the story of Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch; Philip began teaching him the Good News from where he was reading. This is God’s will then and also today. God bless you and Terri today brother 🙏
