The past two plus years have hit home that everything has its season. There are seasons of new beginnings and seasons of change that lead to one thing ending as another starts to bloom.
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 ESV

There are seasons of planting, growth, and harvesting. There are seasons to go forward and other seasons where we do our best to be still. Grief teaches us that there are seasons to let go just as joy shows us how to celebrate and hold on.
This too shall pass.
Ecclesiastes reminds us that God is present in every season, not just the ones we understand or enjoy.
I’ve learned that a changing season doesn’t mean God has changed. To the contrary, He is right there with us.
Sometimes the Lord is preparing us.
Other times, He is pruning us. Sometimes God is repositioning us.
At times, the Lord is reminding us that we were never in control to begin with.
So my encouragement to you is to cherish and celebrate the season you are in. Be fully present wherever you find yourself today and don’t waste your energy wishing you were somewhere else.
Pay attention to the season you are in. God is doing something in and through you.

Until my next post…
Be salty, stay lit.

I didn’t see this one until today and had scheduled my post yesterday on life’s seasons to run this morning. This time of year brings that out. And the fact that I’m in a season and feeling all of the above in your post.
