Confession | Sometimes I…

Confession time. Sometimes, I sit on the toilet and write.

There. I said it.

What can I say? A writer never knows when inspiration will strike. Sometimes it happens over coffee in a quiet living room. Sometimes it happens in the middle of the day when you finally have a moment to yourself.

And sometimes, well, you just have to go where the writing takes you.

Blogger life.

Be salty, stay lit.

  1. Bumper sticker or t-shirt material maybe? I’ve learned inspiration hits when it hits. Let it flow and write it down. Otherwise, it slips into the memory graveyard. I’ve read where several well-known authors and creatives have said that they believe if they don’t capture an idea when it arrives, the powers of the universe move on and give it to someone else. I’m not sure the Holy Spirit works that way, but I’ve had experiences where I hear a song or read something and recall having a similar idea that someone else did something with.

  2. Me too, Kiki! I write in lots of different places that probably seem unorthodox to people. But, I’ve learned the importance of capturing the thought or idea while it’s fresh. Otherwise, the day gets busy and I forget. Happened to me yesterday. Fortunately, a coworker helped me remember our team lunch conversation. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your own writing experience. Blessings.

I’ve written blogs in parking lots or on line at a car wash. You just never know.

Have a great weekend – wherever you are! 😊
