Morning Prayer 20| 11.5.2018

A prayer for the week ahead as we go about our lives. Many of us will be off to work. Others of us are going to school or spending the golden years of our retirement. Whatever stage you are in life, it’s good to take time to reflect and go to the Lord in prayer.

Father God, Lord, we love You and remain in awe of Your magnificent majesty. The beauty of Your works delights our hearts, inspires our minds, and ignites our souls. You are sovereign over everything Lord and we give You thanks and glory. We praise You for Your provision in each of our lives. We pray for those remembering the tragic events of the past today. We ask You to comfort those who are grieving and mourning. Ease their pain. Relieve their hurts. Let us not lose sights of Your goodness in the midst of Evil. We know we fight an enemy we cannot see. In You, we have victory. Through Your Son, Jesus Christ, we have eternal life in Your presence. Let us hold on to the future hope You have made possible for us. Father God, we thank You. May the Your Spirit continue to abide in us, molding us in the image of Your Son. It is in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Morning Prayer 18

Lord, as I awake, guide my steps. Let me not say or do anything to sin against You.

Help me, Lord, bring You glory and praise as I venture through this day.

Father, grant me wisdom to pay attention to those You bring into my path.

Help me discern right from wrong, good from bad, holy from evil.

May I be a vessel to point people to Christ.

Give me strength for this day.

Help me live and love well so that You may receive the praise.

You alone are worthy.

In Jesus’ name.

A Sunday Prayer

Lord, You are mighty and worthy of praise!

We exalt Your name above all names as we worship You in all Your majestic splendor.

Hallowed be Your name;

May Your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

We thank You, O Lord, for your bountiful provision;

We are grateful for Your love, Your kindness, Your generosity, and Your grace.

Forgive us, Father, for where and when we fall short.

Keep us from wandering and falling astray.

Lead us from temptation, so that we may not sin against You.

Direct our paths, make them straight.

Help us do that which pleases You and brings You honor, glory, and praise.

You are God and God alone.

No one is greater than You.

In Jesus’ name.
