Suffering precedes Glory. Anytime we are are following Christ, taking up the Cross, we should expect the attention of the Enemy. As Paul so eloquently writes in Ephesians 6:10-20, we are in a war–a spiritual war–a fight between Good and Evil, a battle between the children of the Light and the world of Darkness. As Christians, we may endure all types of suffering along our journey. God provides us with His strength so that we can persevere. We know that we can cast all our cares and all our burdens at His feet. He is faithful and trustworthy. He does not desert us, abandon us, leave us, or forsake us. We can trust in Him through all circumstances and conditions that this world brings. In Him, we already have Victory. Easter paints a vivid reminder that suffering precedes glory.
