We Are Thankful!

This past Tuesday morning, while I waited on the freight company to pick up the last trailer of love-filled shoebox gifts, I had the opportunity to reflect on what was an awesome week and a half of ministry. Since 2008, when we packed our first shoebox gift, Terri and I have been involved in some form or fashion with Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child ministry. This year was no exception-but it was exceptional!

For the 2nd year in a row, we were blessed to have the opportunity to head up an OCC Collection Center at our home church.

Throughout the week +, we were blessed by an army of incredible donors, supported by a wonderful group of volunteers-including Terri’s parents, Gary and Joyce Walker, church family, and neighbors-hosted by our amazing home church-Trinity Bible Church of Richardson and the super admin team of Scott Schneider and McClain Jacobs.

7,342!!!

7,342 shoebox gifts packed into 467 cartons loaded on 2-28 foot pup trailers is an amazing sight and awesome work to behold.

Every single box is an opportunity for a Child to know Jesus!

Due to the combined efforts of many contributors 7,342 children will be able to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ and have the opportunity to receive the Greatest Gift of All–Jesus Christ–as their Lord and Savior. That is truly something to be thankful for and celebrate with great joy!

As we gather with family and friends and look forward to a full weekend of ministry ahead, Terri and I are thankful beyond measure.

God bless.
