Worship is our human response to God, acknowledging God’s worth and ascribing to God the glory that His name is due. As we bow down to our Creator, we recognize our relationship with our Maker. We come to the alter in awe of all God has done for us. We praise Him simply for who He is and what He has carried out in our lives. Once we were sinful wretches, spiritually blind and lost, whom God chose to shower with His grace and mercy, redeeming us into a right relationship with Himself through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
Here I Am to Worship written by Tim Hughes
Light of the world
You stepped down into darkness
Opened my eyes, let me see
Beauty that made this heart adore You
Hope of a life spent with YouSo here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that You’re my GodAnd You’re altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
Altogether wonderful to meKing of all days, oh so highly exalted
Glorious in heaven above
Humbly You came to the earth You created
All for love’s sake became poorAnd I’ll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross
And I’ll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross
I do not know about you, but when I think about the Lord, I am overwhelmed by our Father’s love for us. His goodness blows me away. God is great. He is steadfast and faithful. Our God is truly an awesome God, who’s wonders never cease and who’s love never ends.
So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:1-11 (ESV)
I haven’t always felt this way about God. Truth be told, it took me a long time to make my way through the door and kneel at the altar. I am grateful that through my journey, people prayed for me and God never gave up on me.
If you’re been wandering, lost and alone, know that God hasn’t given up on you either.
I’m praying for you.

I find it impossible to exhaust His love. I just keep learning, experiencing His brand of mercy and compassion. As my preconceived notions topple it’s like a meet an old friend for the first, every day.
