As 2017 Draws to a Close

2017 is winding down. 15 days until the world ushers in the new year.  As we gather with friends, family, co-workers, and fellow believers to celebrate the Christmas season, it’s a good time to celebrate the year passed and mindfully look ahead to the year to come.

What are things you’d like to do differently in 2018?

Is there something you’d like to improve next year?

Do you have any specific goals or objectives you’d like to achieve in the new year?

But it’s not just about being intentional in your strategic planning for your life. It’s also about being grateful and thankful for what God has provided you. And yes, what you have, the Lord has provided. Make no mistake about that.

What answered prayers have you witnessed first-hand?

Can you list some things you are grateful and thankful for?

Did you experience the Lord walk alongside you during a tough 2017?

What will you do next year with what you learned about God this year?

In the glow of Christmas lights and decorated Christmas trees, in the midst of shopping sprees, take time to reflect on the year that is now rapidly drawing to a close. Identify what you’d like to change for next year. Celebrate those things you are thankful for in 2017. Remember the lessons you learned in the past year and think about how you will apply them to make an eternal impact next year.

God bless.

I believe in you.

2017 was a really interesting year. I had a couple of trials but I had a TON to be thankful for at the same time. Nice post.

I am extremely grateful! I hope to be better at focusing on how far I’ve come, as well as where I want to be at the end of next year. And never give up on my goals! We tend to focus too much on what we don’t have instead of what we do have. 🙂
