Happy 2018!

In with the new, out with the old. Scripture talks about the foolishness of pouring new wine into old wineskins (Mark 2:22). Just as the old is gone in us when we become new creations in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17), the promise of a new year brings fresh hope, renewed opportunities, and the chance for a new beginning.

In 2018, be intentional with your time, talent, and treasure. Spend each one wisely, not for selfish gain, but for eternal reward, as each is a gift from God. Be a blessing to others. Make a difference in your world. Be excellent. Be exuberant and radiant with joy. Treat people better, so that they in turn might treat others better. Be kind. Be gentle. Be humble. Shine a light in the darkness.

Live your life with a purpose. Employ your talents for a purpose. Use your treasure for a purpose. Model the change you want to see. Change, after all, starts with you.
