Sunday Prayer | God of Mercy

God desires us to practice justice rather than continuing to practice unfairness and injustice toward each other. The Lord wants us to love mercy, showing others the same loving kindness God has shown us. As believers, we should depend on the Lord, remain humble, not arrogantly pursuing selfish gain for ourselves but instead submitting to the will of God in our daily lives.

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Micah 6:8 (NIV)

Prayer:

O Lord, God of mercy, thank You for giving me what I do not deserve and keeping me from the wrath I rightly do deserve. I am grateful for Your son, Jesus, who took the wrath for my iniquities and transgressions. Father God, help me show mercy toward others, regardless of their worldview or walk in life. Equip me to demonstrate the same mercy You showed me while I was yet a sinner through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Amen.

  2. Amen! God shows His mercy and compassion in sending His Son to save us. Jesus wasn’t destined to be the King of the Jews, but instead He became a Sacrifice for all.
