When we exalt someone, we hold them in high regard. We revere them. We praise them. We speak highly of them. We give them glory. We sing their acclaims. For the believer, this is the way it is with our God. We worship our Lord. We laud and magnify His great name. We pay tribute to Him and give Him all the honor due to Him.
How about you? Where does God fall in your thoughts? Do you think highly of Him? Do you revere Him? Does your life accurately reflect what you believe to be true about God?
These are questions I ask myself all the time. Am I living a life that reflects my beliefs about who God is, what He has done in my life, and what He continues to do in and through me?
It’s been said that what we think about God is the most important thought we’ll ever have. It’s important we think rightly about Him. It’s vital that we know Him for who He is and avoid making Him into whom we want Him to be. Transformation is about changing us to reflect more of Him, not the other way around. May the Lord help us be transformed today. Amen.
God, help me be transformed into more of Your likeness every day. May I think rightly about You always and speak highly of You all of my days. You are the Lord of my life and it is You that I praise above all else. Let my life reflect my beliefs. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
