Praise God, that You, Lord, my God, are perfect in all Your ways. The Holy Spirit reminded me of this truth numerous times throughout the past week as I met people coping with circumstances and dealing with situations beyond their own ability to fix. They needed something greater. Someone more powerful. As I listened intently, hoping to be fully present, my heart, mind, and soul received the stories that these dear people had to tell. They shared a piece of themselves with me. What an honor! I am grateful for their trust, the spirit You gave me, to demonstrate care for them and to be the hands and feet of Jesus to them. As I reflect back at seeing You at work all around me, I am overwhelmed with awe. I don’t fully understand how you move the things of heaven and earth to make divine appointments possible. I’m simply grateful that You, in Your foresight, do so.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 16Rejoice always, 17pray continually, 18give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
I am convinced of the power of prayer. Prayer works. I have seen it work firsthand. I have experienced the healing power of prayer. For me to do the work You have called me to do Lord, prayer must be my foundation. Everything begins in prayer.
Luke 18:1 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.
Father God, I pray for our nation and for our churches. May we return to Your ways, oh Lord. May we exalt Your name above all names, singing neverending praises to You, Almighty God. I pray for all of those who are struggling, hurting, and battling with the mountains standing in their path. Help them look to You, O Lord, for their sustenance and protection. Lord, may they sense Your grace and Your mercy, O God. In Jesus’ name, I pray. To God be the glory.
Amen.
