Well, it’s finally here! Operation Christmas Child’s National Collection Week 2019 starts Monday, November 18 and runs through Monday, November 25. After that, it’s off to the Processing Center, the next stop along the Greatest Journey. There are a lot of moving pieces and thousands of volunteers, associates, and OCC staff that play a part in making sure that millions of kids around the world receive their love-filled shoebox gift this year.
Prayer:
Father God, I pray for the people all around the USA and the other sending countries who are packing their Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts as we speak. I pray for the donors and their families. I lift up the drop-off locations and the central drop-offs, the volunteers that will receive each of the shoeboxes, the project leaders that make sure everything runs smoothly and glorifies Your name. I pray for the churches and other facilities that are participating in this wonderful ministry. May they all be blessed beyond their imagination. We know for someone to hear the gospel, someone must be willing to go. We know that You can do abundantly far beyond our expectations. You are a great God, compassionate and gracious, abounding in love, slow to anger, and willing to forgive us for our wickedness, rebellion, and sin. We love Lord, and we praise You in advance for the work You will do through the ministry of Operation Christmas Child this year. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
To experience life the way God intended, you and I must receive God’s gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. This gift from God is available to all who ask. Will you personally receive the gift of eternal life so that you can experience the total forgiveness from your sins that come through believing in the atoning death and resurrection of Jesus Christ?
