Sunday Prayer | Flood Our Hearts, O God

Heavenly Father, we thank You for flooding our hearts with Your love. Help us be shining lights of grace and mercy as we interact with all those You have placed in our path. May we be faithful witnesses to the truth of Your word and the depths of Your love. You have given us a spirit of boldness. Allow us to stand steadfast, girded in Your armor and propelled by the boldness You have instilled in us so that others may come to know You better and more deeply. Remove our self-doubts and feelings of unworthiness. Let them not be obstacles to fulfilling the calling You have placed on us.

Thank You for delighting in us. May we delight in You with all our soul, all our heart, all our mind, and all our strength. May we love others as well as You have demonstrated Your love for us. While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us, and now through His precious shed blood, we who were once far off have been brought near to You through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Let us guard our hearts with all vigilance for we know from our hearts flow the springs of life. Deliver us from evil and shield us from the wiles and schemes of the Enemy who seeks to destroy us. We declare victory in Jesus Christ whom You gave for us so that anyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. Yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever and ever. Amen.

To experience life the way God intended, you and I must receive God’s gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. This gift from God is available to all who ask. Will you personally receive the gift of eternal life so that you can experience the total forgiveness from your sins that come through believing in the atoning death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ?

  1. Rainier, we all need to witness this type of prayer daily. The path to eternal life does indeed journey through a criminal’s Cross to Jesus. Amen my brother in Christ!

There should be a rule… any post about God should have the word “girded” in it somewhere. Awesome post, man.
