7 Bible Verses To Help You Make It Through the Night

For me, the Bible serves as a source of comfort, encouragement, and support for everyday life. As a Christian, I believe that God’s Word is powerful and contains the answers to many of life’s problems. Over the years, I’ve memorized favorite Scriptures because I needed to store them in my heart for those times when the road of life is difficult to navigate. I invest time in my spiritual progress by reading the Bible and find solace in reciting key verses that speak to whatever it is I am facing on any given day.

Below, you will find 7 Bible Verses to Help You Make it Through the Night when you are facing difficult and challenging life moments.

  1. When I am overwhelmed:

I will sayto the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”

For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.

Psalm 91:2-4 (English Standard Version)

2. When I am uncertain:

When I thought, “My foot slips,”
your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up.
When the cares of my heart are many,
your consolations cheer my soul.

Psalm 94:18-19 (ESV)

3. When I am concerned:

The Lord is good,
a stronghold in the day of trouble;
he knows those who take refuge in him.

Nahum 1:7 (ESV)

4. When I am anxious:

Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.

John 14:1 (ESV)

5. When I am afraid:

God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way,
though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea

Psalm 46:1-2 (ESV)

6. When I need courage:

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Joshua 1:9 (ESV)

7. When I need reassurance:

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV)

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13

To experience life the way God intended, you and I must receive God’s gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. This gift from God is available to all who ask. Will you personally receive the gift of eternal life so that you can experience the total forgiveness from your sins that come through believing in the atoning death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ?
