Sunday Prayer | 4th Advent Sunday 2021

As we approach Christmas Day with great expectation, imagine the anticipation that Mary and Joseph must have felt holed up in a manger awaiting to receive Jesus in fleshly form. In that moment, they were looking forward.

The Incarnation is now something that we see in our rearview mirror. Yet, we are hopeful with anticipation. As believers, we await the return of our Lord, Jesus Christ. We don’t know when He is coming, but we know that He is.

In the meantime, as we await His return, let us live in a manner that honors and glorifies the name of the Lord. Let us live in a way that is pleasing and a delight to God. Let us live life full of joy!

Prayer:

Father God, may we exemplify what it is to be loved by You by showing others the same measure of love that You bestowed upon us. We are beyond grateful for the gift of Your son, Jesus. We await His return. May we bring You praise in the manner by which we live. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
