My Monday Morning Cup | Launching the Christian Blogger Support Network

Recently, in a previous post, I suggested that a need existed for Christian bloggers to support one another by banding together to offer each other encouragement and engagement.

For my part today, I am going to list 5 Christian blogs that I visit often.

If I list you, I am going to ask that you also create a post listing 5 of your favorite Christian bloggers. Yes, you can certainly give my blog a shout out, but know that it is neither expected nor required. Self promotion is not the driving focus of this post.

My desire is simply to increase awareness of other Christians who are creating excellent faith-based, Biblically-sound, Christ-anchored content.

In addition to writing a list post featuring your favorites, I asking that you visit each of these blogs and engage by liking and commenting at least one post that each blogger has recently published.

If someone, likes and comments in your post, return the favor and visit their blog.

Do you know about #Mondayblogs?

Without further ado, here is my list of 5 Christian blogs I like to visit:

1. Tim Challies

2. Deep Believer

3. Bridget A. Thomas

4. Devotional Treasures

5. The Berry Bunch

Use the hashtag #ChristianBlogger to show support of fellow bloggers

Another step that I would like to see us take in support of each other as Christian bloggers is to invite other bloggers to Guest Post on our blogs. Naturally, if you extend an invitation to a fellow blogger to write a post on your blog the expectation is that they would return the favor in kind by offering you the opportunity to publish a Guest Post on their blog. This is really an idea that blogger Alan Kearns planted in an online conversation we had, as well as seeing some other Christian bloggers putting this into practice. Kudos to those of you already doing this!

Throughout 2022, I hope to give shoutouts to other Christian blogs I read regularly.

HAPPY 2022 AND HAPPY BLOGGING!

  1. Matt, from jesusluvsall hosts a blogger chat most Saturday morning via Zoom. This is a great idea to expand on as well. Thanks, Rainer. Your willingness to help and promote other Christian bloggers is exemplary. I already follow most of these blogs, but not all of them. Blessings!

I consider myself less a Christian blogger and more a Christian who happens to have a blog I don’t invest enough time in.

That said, I like the idea of a support network.

  7. Amen, James. I see myself much the same way. I think encouraging each other is an easy way we can do something positive and good for someone else.
