A Small Dose of Encouragement

Today, I want to encourage you to not be disheartened or dismayed. Yes, the world around you may look like it is spinning out of control. But, God remains in control. He is not surprised that nations are raging against nations. He isn’t shocked to see kingdoms battling kingdoms.

Before you or I or anyone ever drew a breath, God had the ending written. It is a good ending, not a bad one. Yes, there is much we must endure and persevere, but at the end of the day, God, in His infinite wisdom helps us overcome it all through Jesus Christ.

Psalm 2

Why are the nations so angry?
Why do they waste their time with futile plans?
The kings of the earth prepare for battle;
    the rulers plot together
against the Lord
    and against his anointed one.
“Let us break their chains,” they cry,
“and free ourselves from slavery to God.”

4 But the one who rules in heaven laughs.
The Lord scoffs at them.
5 Then in anger he rebukes them,
terrifying them with his fierce fury.
6 For the Lord declares, “I have placed my chosen king on the throne
in Jerusalem, on my holy mountain.”

7 The king proclaims the Lord’s decree:
“The Lord said to me, ‘You are my son.
Today I have become your Father.
8 Only ask, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance,
the whole earth as your possession.
9 You will break them with an iron rod
and smash them like clay pots.’”

10 Now then, you kings, act wisely!
Be warned, you rulers of the earth!
11 Serve the Lord with reverent fear,
and rejoice with trembling.
12 Submit to God’s royal son, or he will become angry,
and you will be destroyed in the midst of all your activities—
for his anger flares up in an instant.
But what joy for all who take refuge in him!

So, my friend—remain steadfast and trust in the Lord. Be encouraged, not dismayed. For the Lord sees your plight. He knows your trouble. God knows of the difficulties and challenges that we face in the world. He sent His son so that all who believe in Him would not perish but have eternal life.

May your day be filled with the strength of His blessings and guided by the courage of His wisdom.

Blessings,

To experience life the way God intended, you and I must receive God’s gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. This gift from God is available to all who ask. Will you personally receive the gift of eternal life so that you can experience the total forgiveness from your sins that come through believing in the atoning death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ?

For nothing will be impossible with God.

(Luke 1:37)

Beautifully said. My prayers this week have been acknowledging Him as the Alpha and the Omega… He’s God of my beginning and my end therefore He’s aware of every detail and makes provision. He’s writing my story and holding it all together!
