My October Playlist | 7 Musical Offerings Catching My Ears

As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, it’s October! Apparently, it’s also BLOGTOBER. A few days ago, I read a post by Sara Flower Kjeldsen on her blog Sara Flower Kjeldsen Writes promoting blogging ideas for October.

One of Sara’s suggestions was writing a post sharing what’s on our personal playlist. In previous posts, I’ve shared my eclectic taste for music so I thought it would be fun to take Sara’s suggestion and bring it to life.

In the process of composing this post and compiling my list, I learned about Blogtober. Have you heard about Blogtober? In her recent post, blogger Shannon Roebeck shares that “The idea behind Blogtober is to celebrate all things Fall and Halloween (aka the spooky season)…”

Blogtober, in essence, is an opportunity to slip out of our comfort zone and slide into FUN! Yes—FUN! The challenge (as I understand it) is to create some fresh content and post it every day of October. 31 days. 31 posts. Yes, it will take commitment to successfully navigate the obstacles of this blogging challenge. And, it will also require a bit of planning. But, I think I’m up to giving it a try. Will you join me for #Blogtober?

So what’s catching my ears and on my October playlist? Here are 7 audio offerings currently in heavy rotation on my playlist.

1. A Hundred Highways—Zach Williams

2. The Man from Waco—Charley Crockett

3. Can I Take My Hounds to Heaven?—-Tyler Childers

4. Lionheart—-Stephan Moccio

5. Blue Train—John Coltrane

6. God is Good (Live)—Cody Cranes

7. We the Kingdom—-We the Kingdom

Another band you will find in my regular rotation is The Arcadian Wild along with Billy Strings. Lately, I’ve also been revisiting the Beatles, R.E.M. and Nirvana.

For instrumental meditation moments, I’m frequently listening to a variety of artists playing Beethoven, Mozart, and Chopin.

Listen. And expect to see videos featuring songs from the 7 records listed above.

What’s rocking your playlist?

I hope you enjoyed reading this post. It’s a little different fare from my usual offerings. Please feel free to share your thoughts and playlists in the “COMMENTS” section.

In the mean time—-God bless.
