What are you grateful for this morning?

It is the Thanksgiving season—a time to reflect on our blessings and give thanks to God for them. Quite simple actually, isn’t it?

I am grateful to God for waking me up this morning and giving me breath to live another day. This simple gift provides me with another chance to get it right. Another day gives me the opportunity to bless someone else—to glorify God by showing love to someone who needs it most.

I am grateful for the roof over my head and for a place to call home. Home is a special place, like no other. I realize not everyone has that yet. I am thankful I do.

I am grateful for Terri and that God chose her to be my wife. Life is better with her. I could not imagine life without her. She is a beautiful woman who I am blessed to call my wife.

I am grateful for my Mom and for family. Like home, not everyone has someone else to call kin. Family is special, even if at times it is dysfunctional. Family matters and makes a difference in our lives.

I am grateful for community and friendships. People enrich our lives. We are meant to live in community with others.

Always give thanks
to God the Father
for everything, in the
name of our Lord
Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 5:20

And, finally, I am grateful for this country called America. There is no place like it, even if it’s not perfect all the time. It is a beautiful land to call home.

God, I am grateful to You, as well. Thank You, Lord, for giving us Your beloved Son, so that we would not perish but experience eternal life.

For these things I am grateful.

What are you grateful for this morning?

May this offering be a blessing to you.

Hallelujah and Amen.
