Life 1,095 Days Later

My friend, have you been hungry for God’s word lately? Perhaps, like me, you’ve been distracted by the busyness of the world we live in.

Three years ago, the world, as we knew it, screeched to a halt. Remember, how you hungered for the Lord’s word then?

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.

Peace Prayer of Saint Francis

We inhabit a world sorely divided. How can God use you as an instrument of peace this week?

How are you loving God and loving your neighbor today, 1,095 days after COVID-19 disrupted our lives the way we lived them back then?

Whatever you do, do what’s right.

For when we place our faith in Christ Jesus, there is no benefit in being circumcised or being uncircumcised. What is important is faith expressing itself in love.

The Birthday Girl

As for us, as was true then, we celebrate my Mom’s birthday. She turned 85 today.

We were created to love. The choice to love is ours.

Gratefully,

  1. You’re right, Rainer. Trials often tempt us to make excuses: “I had no other choice, Lord!” The truth is we always have options—good ones, not so good ones, and those that are somewhere in between. Happy Birthday to your mom. I bet she has weathered plenty of storms in her 85 years.
    Blessings, brother!

    Re “the world we live in”…

    The truth about the world we live in or the “human condition” is no mystery and has always been clearly in front of everyone’s nose…

    The TRUE human condition, or world we live in, is the history of human madness mainly thanks to the 2 married pink elephants in the room and has never been on clearer display than with the deliberate global Covid Scam atrocity — see “The 2 Married Pink Elephants In The Historical Room –The Holocaustal Covid-19 Coronavirus Madness: A Sociological Perspective & Historical Assessment Of The Covid “Phenomenon”” … https://www.rolf-hefti.com/covid-19-coronavirus.html
