An Unblemished Rose | Happy Easter

This morning, as I stepped out onto our patio to feed the feral family visiting our backyard, my eyes caught a crisp, fresh, new rose bloom greeting our world. Despite a few blemishes, its beauty shouted, “I am alive! I am alive!”

Being greeted by new life on Easter morning, reminded me of Jesus, God’s unblemished rose.

Even in our brokenness and with all our blemishes, God saw the beautiful possibilities in us when, out of His love for us, He sent Jesus, the unblemished rose, to give us a new life.

You and I can have new life in Christ today. I pray that is something you would experience and come to know. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). We are made new in Him.

He is Risen! He is Risen, indeed!

May you and yours have a blessed Easter.

May you encounter Jesus in a new way that you’ve never encountered Him before and that through that fresh encounter you are transformed and drawn nearer to Christ, our God and King.

Blessings,

Rainer Bantau
