This is what we’ve been reduced to as a society by our totalitarian leaders who profit from our division.
Handshake or Fist Bump?
You see, if we are busy fighting with each other, we won’t see them ravaging our Constitution, robbing us of our rights, stealing our freedom, and looting our property and prosperity.
That’s their hope. That is their intent. To keep us bickering and at each others throats because it BENEFITS THEM.

Growing up, I didn’t ever imagine a time where shaking someone’s hand would be controversial.
IT WAS EXPECTED.
But, in 2024, where people have lost their flipping minds and are utterly confused about how many genders there are (there are TWO, for the record), we are forced to consider whether it is more respectful and polite to offer an open hand or a closed fist.
Think about it.
HOW HIGH ARE WE?
When you meet someone look them in the eye, smile and offer them your hand. Tell ‘em your name if you think they don’t know it. Ask them for theirs, in case you don’t recall. If you’re wearing a hat, remove it, especially when you’re greeting a woman.
Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.
Romans 12:18 NLT
Be respectful. Be polite. Be kind.
IT’S NOT DIFFICULT.
Don’t kiss another man’s wife, especially in front of him unless you’re looking to get skewered and castrated.
COMMON SENSE.
Practice it.
That last one is free.
Long live the handshake. And if you’re more comfortable with a fist bump, I’m cool with that, too.
Know you are loved.
Praying for you. Praying for America.

That can be true of someone you know as well, Judy. I get it, kinda. But I remain a firm supporter of the old handshake. I’ve found most people whose hands are nasty know that and kindly apologize and let you know that’s why they are extending out their hand in greeting. But I also worked with the homeless for a long time and that proved to not always be true. Thanks so much for commenting on this post from August 2024. Where has the time gone? Blessings. 🙏

My concern about the forced handshake with a stranger is, as my mother would have put it, “who knows where that hand has been”.

Taking one day at a time, each of us can share kindness and respect.

It saddens me that good manners have gone out of style.
