My Monday Cup | July 7, 2025

In light of the devastation experienced in the Hill Country of Texas, it’s hard to find any sufficient words to say or anything utterly necessary to blog about at the moment. I heard one commentator say, “Nature natures.”

I can’t fathom the pain that these families are feeling. I’m in awe of the men and women who have responded in a time of great need.

Hug your loved ones tonight.

Tomorrow is not guaranteed to any of us.

2 Corinthians 1:3-5 The Message

All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us. We have plenty of hard times that come from following the Messiah, but no more so than the good times of his healing comfort—we get a full measure of that, too.

Until my next post…

Be salty, stay lit.
