Just for Clicks

We live in an age that punishes patience and rewards impulse. Algorithms thrive on clicks. They are far more interested in your reaction than your formation. Outrage spreads faster than wisdom. Noise drowns out nuance. Algorithms aren’t interested in good or bad or right and wrong. Just clicks.

Caught up in the rush, we begin to confuse movement with progress, motion with action.

We say we want truth, but we rarely sit with anything long enough to recognize it. We say we value depth, but we reward whatever is loud, immediate, and emotionally charged. Click. Click. Click. The algorithm thanks us.

The system is not broken. It’s doing exactly what it was designed to do.

Are we?

When everything around us is training us to react, choosing to pause becomes an act of resistance.

We listen before speaking.
We discern before deciding.
We wait while everything around us wants us to move.

Click.

Click.

Click.

There is a kind of wisdom that cannot be rushed and a clarity that only comes through stillness.

Algorithms will never be able to produce spiritual growth. We have to put in the time and effort for that to happen.

We can be shaped by the speed of the world or be formed in the quiet, steady pace of something deeper.

The choice is ours…
